In this video, Tina and I head out on a canoe camping trip down one of South Georgia’s beautiful blackwater rivers. We planned on finding a peaceful spot to camp, but a sudden storm rolled in and changed our plans. We had to work quickly to set up a tarp tent and our hammock tents just as the rain began to fall. Despite the downpour, we made the most of it! We cooked a delicious backcountry meal of teriyaki chicken, rice, and broccoli before settling into our hammocks to listen to the rain and the sounds of the swamp. The next morning brought a fresh start and a hearty breakfast of eggs and corned beef hash before we packed up to paddle out to our take-out spot.
